I have installed Diablo 3 on my Ubuntu (12.04) OS several times and I have yet get passed the "Authenticating Credentials" window. I wiped my play on linux and loaded a fresh copy to install Diablo 3. All seems good but once again "authenticating credentials" traps me. Now I have tested this one a windows computer on my house and it all works fine (character window comes right up). I play world of warcraft all the time so I know that for the most part wine and its programs run correctly on my computer. I don't know what secret it is or what magical tweak is required to make me "beat" the "authenticating Credentials" boss but I would love to hear any ideas at this point.

No errors in debug mode.

There have been moments when I play wow where the login windo sits at "Authenticating" so that gives us some hope it can be fixed but I just cant shake the feeling its either something about a port or some minor problem from wine thats preventing the game from authenticating.

The debug mode does not change anything. The problem must come from Diablo III

I am running on Ubuntu, my friend here at work, running on an arch, only wine, no PoL can get pass authenticating credentials successfully.

So blizz servers are not problematic atm.

I have a doubt that this has something to do with wineserver

I don't get any traffic on ports 1243 and 6881.

Problem I am having is that I have an entire copy of wow on an external. I run it on a windows computer, no problems. Run it through wine, 3007 pops up. Same internet connect for both. Its either my linux computer has in it something that bliz is not connecting with properly or something just is not opening on my end. No idea where to go from that line of thought.

Wanted to add that keep in mind that its connecting to a point where it knows if my password is wrong but wont make the jump to step three (find my characters on their end).

That's a common problem from Ubuntu, it's not a POL related bug.
