Unsure if I should post this as one or multiple bugs, but in any case, the supported game Magicka fails to install and run. At least in part, that depends on dotnet35 seemingly not installing correct either. Possibly there are other
incompabilities as well, but passing the dotnet35 hurdle would be a
required step forward in any case, so probably best to start there.
Im using POL v4.1.3 and try to install Magicka (v1.4.7.0) (steam ID 42910, there is also the demo with steam ID 73050 for a free testcase if needed).
Manually, in another
wineprefix, I have managed to use the latest Wine (1.5.9) (with it's
autodownload of Mono) in combination with latest development winetricks
(http://winetricks.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/src/winetricks) to properly
install dotnet35, which is a lot further than I get with POL 4.1.3.
For
the record, I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 using lates ppa for wine 1.5.9 and the
winetricks way will get Magicka installed and even begin to start up (it
crashes on the startup screen though, with a graphics driver error, but
that might be a wine setting issue?).
"System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: The render target index must be within the valid range for this device."
In any case, first step is to make POL dotnet35 working so POL Magicka installs correct so there is a chance it can work.
