How can I make executables don't detect 64-bit environment?

I've tried the recipe described here: http://www.playonlinux.com/en/issue-451.html (PlayOnLinux Console) in this way:
POL_System_SetArch x86
POL_Wine_SelectPrefix "VirtualDriveName"
POL_Wine_PrefixCreate

And after I make a "non-listed program" installation to "Edit or update an existing application" and use the already created prefix.
But the program's installer detects a 64-bit environment and doesn't want to go on.
