I'm playing Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered; game is running fine, and i can play about 15 minutes. Then, after the scene for the first time in the restaurant, when Rebecca goes down the stairs, the game hangs.

Errormessage in the PlayOnLinux-debugger is:

"err:msvideo:ICLocate Required media codec 'vidc WVC1' not found!"

So, codec is missing. i have mediaplayer 9 and 10 installed (so is dx9, xact, VC2005 and 2008 runtime), and also the k-lite-codec pack. But the error stays. Did anyone knows, how to fix this?

Wine-Version is 1.9.17, OS is Mint 17.3, kernel 4.4.0-31-generic, GPU is GTX960 with driver  367.44

Edit:  ok, i fixed it. Tried since yesterday to make it work, and now, 5 minutes after posting here, i made it.

i had to download the "wvc1dmod.dll", copied it to "system32"-folder, and registered it manually with regsvr32. That's it.
