could not bind socket

Good day currently im testing a DNS server application for windows named SimpleDNS

Installed PlayOnLinux in Ubuntu 17.04 and have wine 1.8.7 

and succesfuly installed SimpleDNS but i have an error regarding port binding

err:winsock:WSAIoctl -> _WSAIO(IOC_WS2, 23) request failed with status 0x2733

 

is it possible to run this application on PlayOnLinux?

you should try with wine 2.15-staging -> http://wiki.playonlinux.com/index.php/Managing_Wine_Versions
