Slt,

Grâce à StartUp-Manager j'ai un démarrage sympa avec des images mais j'ai encore quelques soucis ...

Depuis que j'ai installer StartUp-Manager après le bootloader j'ai un message :

Starging up ...
You passed an undefined mode number.
Press <RETURN> to see video modes available, <SPACE> to continue or wait 30 secs

Si je fait "Retour arrière" ça bip donc pas le choix je continue ...
Qu'est-ce qui marche pas ?


J'ai installer le paquet "kubuntu-grub-spashimages" et "grub-spashimages" pour avoir des images sous grub mais la plupart ne sont pas belles (elles manquent de couleurs) ou bug ...
Y-a-t-il une solution ?


Sinon j'ai vu que dans mes paquetages GRUB 2 existe ...
Qu'en est-il du dernier GRUB 2 ?

PS : je suis sous Kubuntu 7.10 avec les pilotes propriétaires de ATI (ceux de Ubuntu) !

Salut,
Je peut répondre sur 2
-RETURN = ENTREE et pas Retour Arrière.

Mais quand tu as ce message cela signifie que tu l'option vga=XXX qui n'est pas valide dans ton fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst

Donne nous le contenu du fichier qu'on te le corrige, si tu veux

-Changer l'image du grub.
La réponse est dans la doc du site Ubuntu je le sais, sauf que la pour une raison qui m'échappe je ne peux plus y accéder

"Connexion interrompue

Pour commencer j'essaye tout seul (comme un grand ) avec le tuto de ubuntu et si j'y arrive pas je vous donne mon /boot/grub/menu.lst

Bon alors j'ai un soucis avec mon /boot/grub/menu.lst il est illisible

Sinon j'ai menu.lst~ menu.lst.071201225748 et menu.lst.backup qui sont lisible (néanmoins c'est pas moi qui les a créer )

Je fais quoi chef ?

bash: /boot/grub : est un répertoire
usage: sudo -K | -L | -V | -h | -k | -l | -v
bash: s- : commande introuvable


EDITE : sinon j'utilise Start-Up Manager pour simplifier la personnalisation du démarrage, il y a un rapport directe avec le problème ? A préciser que j'ai installer ce même soft sur mon fixe et je n'ai aucun problème mais lui a une Nvidia contrairement au portable qui a une Radeon ...

c'est quoi cette erreur sur la commande ls !
Tu es sur d'avoir saisie "sudo ls -l /boot/grub/" (sans les " ; il s'agit d'un L est pas d'un 1 )?

Sinon oui ce message "You passed an undefined mode number. " est liée a l'utilisation de StartUp-Manager

Ah je préfère
Bon ben ton fichier menu.lst est bien présent
pour y accéder tu doit faire "sudo (éditeur de texte de ton choix) /boot/grub/menu.lst"

Si tu veux tu peut poster le contenu du fichier, on si tu préfère tu peux me contacter directement pas jabber

Donc voilà :
Sauvegarde le fichiers (normalement ça devrais fonctionner du premier coup mais bon ...)
sudo cp -f /boot/grub/menu.lst /boot/grub/menu.bkp
Pour restaurer
sudo cp -i /boot/grub/menu.bkp /boot/grub/menu.lst



Remplace le contenu du fichier menu.lst par celui çi dessous, puis lance la commande :
sudo update-grub

C'est juste que au lieu de mettre sudo machin truc j'ai mis [sudo=console]code machin truc[/code] et ça marche pas terrible
Sinon sur le fichier ce qui change c'est vga=792

Bon alors j'imagine qu'il a eu de la fatigue ou autre chose car apparemment, MulX, tu t'es vraiment planter ...
Je n'avais même plus de boot possible au démarrage alors c'est sûr plus d'erreur ^^

Bon avec un live-cd de Kubuntu 7.10 j'ai tout remis dans l'ordre mais bon ...
Si c'était ton poisson d'avril et ba il est réussit XD

Tu n'as pas lancer cette commande avant de redémarrer : sudo update-grub

Sinon le premier paquet que tu as remis ne sert a rien, le deuxième il est générer par la commande update-grub c'est pour ça que je l'ai enlever puisque je disais de lancer la commande update-grub
