im running debian stable, kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64, radeon 12.6 catalist driver, POL 4.1.2.
when i go to tools > manage wine versions, i get tabs for x86 and amd64.
when i go to install, only 32 bit versions show up, if i edit an installed item still only 32bit versions show up.
im new to POL so i probably missed a setting or something somewhere, thanx.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "when I go to install"... Hopefully this will answer at least partially your questions: you cannot change a Wine virtual disk between 32 and 64 bits, it's set once and for all when the virtual disk is created. So if, say, an installer created a virtual disk as 32 bits, you cannot change that later. Moreover, it's usually next to useless (and may not work) if the installed program is itself 32 bits.

that helps somewhat. how do i create the virtual disk as 64bit then? my host OS is 64bit but every virtual disk in POL comes up 32bit. and i don't fully understand this line "Moreover, it's usually next to useless (and may not work) if the installed program is itself 32 bits."
thanks

Why creating a 64 bits virtual drive ? Do you have any 64 bits windows apps ? If not, there is no need.
