Comments:
- When installing Unreal Engine 3's files, it will tell you that it failed to install .Net Framework 3. Ignore this warning and carry on with the installation.

I have the setup of Alien Breed 3: Descent. After the installation, when i try to start the game i get an error stating, "PhysX not installed or Corrupted. Please reinstall Physx"
need help....

did you cancel the physX install when the Unreal Engine 3 redist is installing ? You must let this redist exec install PhysX.
If you don't want to redo installation, use POL, search "Function" in the install menu and install PhyX for this game, it will work.

Thanks for the help. i tried with the POL Functions for physX. Even had to install .net 3.0 and directX 10. Finally the game started. But now the problem is the game lags badly. Even tried at lowest settings along with compiz turned off. yet the game lags.
I'm able to the play the same game at the highest rez of 1920x1080 rez with the highest settings on Win7 Ultimate 64bit.
Need help.........

If you have an Nvidia Card, please be sure to use latest driver available (260.19.26) and remember it's not a native game, you can't expect same performances for a game not designed for linux. I made it run fine un 1024x768 (windowed cause I don't like playing fullscreen), good fps, very rare slow down (due to bad perf of Unreal Engine 3 with wine), very playable.
If you have an ATI/AMD card, curse driver's devs because you will have crappy performances, especially with wine, with thoses cards and the poor driver they provide for linux. Still you can try to update to latest fglrx driver in cas of.
If you have an Intel Card, it's no use, those "graphic cards" are crap and don't even have a good 3D driver under linux. Edited by GNU_Raziel
