I found a way and wrote a little plugin for my issue.

Here you are: http://www.playonmac.com/en/topic-12567-Plugin_WaitWine.html

Hey folks,

i'm searching for a way to wait until the Program which was started with POL closes. In this case i try to get League of Legends directly started with optirun, but if you start it like

'optirun /usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux --run "League of Legends" %F'

optirun is starting for around 2 secs, then it's turned off.

And with "export BEFORE_WINE=optirun" in the shortcut script it will never stop until reboot.

Now i would like to know, if there is any special event, to look if wine has finished (after closing LoL for example).

Edit: Probably i'll find a way with looking if LoLLauncher.exe is running. Tomorrow i will have a closer look at it.

Okay, i got the problem solved. If you're interested in implementing it to one of the next POL-Versions, then i would like to support you with this.

What do you mean by implementing this?

No, i have a better idea, I'll write a little installerscript to "convert" a POL-Shortcut into an optiPOL-Shortcut and will publish it here.

I think some more users have NVIDIA Optimus-Technology and always have to start POL by Terminal to run it with optirun. But starting it with a desktop-shortcut is alot easier imo wink

There is already a feature to prefix commands to POL installs.

The problem is, that if you start League of Legends with the optirun prefix, the NVIDIA card turns on for about 2 seconds and then gets turned of again. I don't know why, because with other programs it's working, but not with LoL.

Or optirun is running until reboot, that's also bad.
