I am trying to install a Canadian Real Estate Forms software called "Real Forms 2016" through PlayOnMac. This is a PC program and we are looking to find a way for our Mac users to use this in a Mac environment without using Parallels or going through Bootcamp. I get this error,
"The files for installation requirement Microsoft Data Access Componenets (MDAC) 2.8 could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed, or canceled download."
Is there any way I will be able to install this program and use it on a Mac thru PlayOnMac?
I tried installing it again and received this error message,
"An error occurred while downloading the file
http://saturn/installshield.com/devstudio/setuprequirements/MDAC28/dasetup.exe What would you like to do?"
I also tried installing it on my MBP running 10.9.5 (Mavericks) and received a different error,
"Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update."
this leads to,
"The installation of Jet 4.0 SP8 for Windows XP appears to have failed. Do you want to continue the installation?"
