Hello,

I've been researching my issues all around and this is my last hope. I've succesfully installed and run AoWSM. I install derictplay through winetricks, run dxDiag and directplay doesn't display errors. It is a known fact that you cannot host games using Wine for AoWSM, but people have reported being able to connect to games.

I am unable to see any games. I don't get any meaningfull logs either. Some posts talk about installing and setting the dlls for directplay in your main wineprefix as a way to fix this, but as far as I can see, this isn't available/applicable to PlayOnMac. Anyone dares to help me?

I was able to get this working. The dll overrides for the dplay libraries had to be added to the global portion of wineconfig, not the game only, as I had been doing. They also had to be registered at the command line using regsvr32.

You can access to winecfg window through PlayOnMac's configure menu

Maybe I wasn't clear. Or maybe I don't understand correctly. Are you saying PlayOnMac global config is accessed through its' configure menu? I've personnally set the app winecfg, though not much is need since winetricks does the regsvr stuff for you. I'll check tonight since I am at work. Is there a winetrick install option on the "global" playonmac config?

PlayOnMac has no global config.

Each installed program has its own config. When you click on configure menu, it gives you access to the config of the program you selected just before.
