This is definitly the weirdest bug I have encountered using wine so far. When playing the full version of Shogun 2 (it works fine in the demo) all models are displayed sideways. Advisors, Armies and the individual units in the real-time battles, all have slightly bugged faces and float sideways in the air.

I am using Kubuntu 16.04 and wine version 1.9.8 staging in a windows 7 prefix.

That is pretty cool.  I'm guessing it is a direct X problem.  What video card do you have?
