I am having trouble with SWTOR, when I launch the game it tells me Certificate Authentication fails, contact customer support how do I fix this

this bug is knwon. Wait for Wine-Staging 2.14. There should the Bug be fixed!

ok so i am a noob when it comes to linux how do i add the patch and what file do i patch

You do not have to patch anything. You just select your application, click "Configure" and select Wine version "2.14-staging". You will have to wait a bit until this is available.

I don't know. It depends when Quentin updates the Wine versions for PoL.
