I would especially ask the developer team, that do you plan to release the endless os version of play on linux as a flatpak package?

This will not happen for PoL/PoM4. However, we might do so for the upcoming Phoenicis PoL/PoM 5. I gave it a try already but there are some problems regarding Maven (see https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak-builder/issues/58). If you have experience with flatpak and would like to provide a builder script for it, you are very much welcome to do so on https://github.com/PhoenicisOrg/POL-POM-5.
