Version of wine : 1.1.15/1.1.33
Distribution : OpenSUSE 11.2
Graphics card : Nvidia, Quadro FX 2700M

I have some problems with getting the game work. It installs fine, there is a launcher running on wine 1.1.15 (for starting the campaign) and one for the wine version you're using (1.1.33 in my case). The launcher for wine 1.1.33, doesn't seem to work at all, after running it wine server shutsdown after a couple of seconds (I'm not really experienced with Linux, so I have no idea why it happens so, though probably it doesn't have to do anything with the script). When running on wine 1.1.15 it launches fine, but after entering main menu the mouse pointer doesn't work (it's impossible to move it from the center of the screen, probably something is wrong with dinput.dll). Alt-Tab seems to fix it, but clicking any button makes it happen again. I've managed to launch the game itself, using the keyboard, but everything is rendered like black or white shadows.

Mouse problem is fixed only in Wine 1.1.33 likewise black sky problem.

1) start playonlinux from terminal and then Gothic 3 on Wine 1.1.33 then post the result

2) try setting vanilla Wine 1.1.33 to run Gothic 3 and see if you can start the game.

When running Gothic.exe from console, the screen gets black for a couple of seconds and I get this error:

If I click Ignore:

What's with vanilla Wine 1.1.33?

That war from vanilla, when running from Playonlinux (using the console), I get the same errors. Log:
Running Gothic 3 on Wine 1.1.15
Unable to find any Athena Hardware devices!Running Gothic 3 on Wine 1.1.15
Gothic 3 on Wine 1.1.15: line 6: 8667 Terminated wine "Gothic3.exe" $@
Wine 1.1.15

I tried running it with different wine versions, it launches fine only with older than 1.1.23.

It's strange because mouse patch modify only one line of code in Wine. Did the same happen on non-patched Wine?

Start Gothic III on Wine 1.1.15 make save game and then load this save game on Wine 1.1.33. Please tell also if mouse works correctly.

I don't now what I do but mouse began work normally on wine 1.1.35 but on 1.1.15 still don't work. On non-patched Wine mouse work fine but don't load the game.

With some manipulation I start the game on 1.1.15 and save it. But when I load the game on 1.1.33 all work very slow. On details option l chose low and turnoff all option on my video card as anti-aliasing, anisotropic, adaptive anti-aliasing but nothing changed. With this save work even on non-patched wine but non some textures and all very slow same as on patched wine. Oh ye my Gothic patched to 1.73

I have new problem don't start wine configuration from context menu

what this mean?

Now if you've got save game don't run the game on Wine 1.1.33, use patched Wine 1.1.35 instead. If your game works slow read this. PlayOnLinux sets OffscreenRenderingMode to backbuffer which is slower than fbo but at least it's rendered most properly. You can try to switch to fbo.
