Well, first off, it seems as though you need to read the instructions for using PlayOnLinux.

Here is the general install process for a listed program.

http://www.playonmac.com/en/manual.html

If you look in the bottom hand corner of the Install page, it says "Install an Unlisted Program". Click that, and you will be presented with options to install using an .exe (which you would use from the disc).

What happened after you clicked manual install? You gave VERY little information for us to go on, so its a little hard to help you. :)

Please read some of the documentation, and make sure you have an understanding of how wine and playonlinux works. Its pretty straightforward.

Usually, when installing a non-listed program, I start out by creating a wineprefix first, then run on .exe in that virtual drive (which is normally the installer for the program). If that doesnt work, it will give some errors, and I troubleshoot from there.

Ill say right now, that game will most likely need vcrun2008 and either dotnetfx35 or wine-mono in order to run.

Also note there's an open bug report for CDROM support with Ubuntu Quantal, Linux Mint 14, maybe more:

It's fixed in the development version only for now.
