League of Legends Loading Screen Problem

Hello, I've been using PoL for a while now, and have never posted on here before. Usually I can find the info I need to fix problems I have from other posts, or elsewhere on the internet. However, my current problem I haven't been able to find anything for, so I'm hoping some one can help me with this.

Lately I've been having a problem with the loading screen in League of Legends. Everything leading up to the loading screen works fine, but the loading screen takes several minutes to actually start loading. What it looks like is this: http://tinypic.com/r/o9hc9z/5 There's only one rectangle for one player because I used a custom game to show this. In a full game, there are 10 blank rectangles, one for each player.

My debug output is this:

Which is where it stops at the beginning of the loading screen. Then, about 3-5 minutes later, all the player/champion info will get filled into each rectangle, and the game will start loading. The debug output will then repeat fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8. over and over again.

I used to play LoL with no problems, so I'm really confused what happened. I've tried reinstalling LoL (I used the PoL script) multiple times. I've tried deleting and redownloading the wine version that LoL uses, and also tried different versions of wine. I've tried updating everything I could think of. I have not tried removing wine/PoL and reinstalling those, because I'm not sure what that will do to the other games that I have installed through PoL.

I can load the game up in virtualbox running XP, and I don't have this issue with the loading screen. (Although the game is unplayable like that) The game also works just fine once I'm into the game, it just takes several minutes to start loading. If anyone can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm using Fedora 19, nvidia GeForce GT 610 with nvidia drivers, with 16gb memory.

After further digging, the issue is the game sounds. If I disable them, I don't have this problem. Wine-alsa is up to date in both 32 and 64 bit versions. I'm not sure where to go from here, but I've narrowed it down a little bit.

You can try to use Alsa alone instead of PulseAudio. I've never had to do this with game in Mint, but I've read many places that its an alternative for sound.

Any idea or links for how I might do that? Right now I think wine is using alsa to link with pulseaudio, which is the sound my system uses. Winehq just seems to say that there's no pulseaudio driver.

I've tried disabling pulseaudio and having my system just use alsa and that doesn't fix the problem.

How did you disable pulseaudio?

I did some research and apparently PulseAudio uses Alsa for audio in certain applications.
So disabling PulseAudio was the first step.

There are a lot of DirectX errors in your debug, so I'm wondering which d3dx PlayOnLinux installed?

Try going to PlayOnLinux Configure
Click on Install Packages
Select dxfullsetup
Click Install

This will install all of the directX versions in the virtual drive.

Are you able to play any other games?

To disable pulseaudio, I followed the instructions javascript:nicTemp();.
Edit: Well, replacing links with text doesn't seem to work properly... it's http://mondogrigio.blogspot.in/2012/06/how-to-disable-pulseaudio-and-enable.html

Installing dxfullsetup didn't remove any of the errors. I'm able to play several other games on playonlinux without any problems.

If I disable game sounds, the game loads fine. Comparing the debug logs, the only difference I see is that there is no instance of
fixme:avrt:AvSetMmThreadCharacteristicsW (L"Audio",0x460e9e4): stub

Instead of pausing in the middle of spamming
fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8.
during the loading screen, it just sends them for the entire loading screen it seems.

If, after loading into the game with sounds disabled, I try to then enable sounds, the game will freeze. There are no debug messages once I'm in the game, up until I try to do this. It will then immediately send
fixme:avrt:AvSetMmThreadCharacteristicsW (L"Audio",0x460e9e4): stub
After a few minutes, the game will unfreeze and debug sends
fixme:d3d_texture:texture_init Failed to create surface 0x5b48c2d8, hr 0x8876086c
fixme:d3d_texture:texture_init Failed to create surface 0x5b48c2d8, hr 0x8876086c
After that, no more debug messages and the game is fine.

I am having a hard time finding other threads with that avrt:AvSetMrnThreadCharacteristiscW error

By the way, are you using onboard audio from your computer or a special audio card?
Like a Creative Soundblaster?
