Game installs without issue fine but will not connect to the server to "play". Only installs.

Error says the servers are unavailable but on checking the servers they are fine.

You need to put xmllite dll in the Program Files/TERA/Client/ folder

Refer to the http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=26128 on how to find it. It explains a lot of things too.

Hello

xmllite dll I can install as a component but nothing happens so I suspect something else needs to be done?

I went to that link you posted. It doesn't tell me how to do it.

How would I place it into the client folder?

Thanks

EDIT: I downloaded the file at "http://files.playonlinux.com/TERA_Wine_Fix.zip"

And placed it into "C:/Program Files/TERA/Client/"

Is this what you meant?

It had no effect.

Double EDIT: It's actually applying some kind of patch now that I've put that there. I'll wait to see how it goes...

It took a loooong time but it seems to have updated and is now running. A few bugs but I think I can get it going :)

I'm running TERA with Ubuntu 14.04 and wine 1.7.17. Both 64bit. FPS sucks, but its on an old dell studio 1555. Everything seems to work though. No wine tricks, no work arounds.

If you can close the launcher after the splash screen goes away you get a noticeable fps jump.
