I have been waiting for a few months now to play Call of Duty 4 on Linux. As far as I know wine does run it, but cant handle punkbuster and you need to patch wine. This is probably the most desired game to play on linux right now and should be top priority. Cause i really really want to play this game. I think most people will agree with me.

I agree, Call of Duty 4 must be the game most people want to see up and running on linux !
I have it on windows but would love to be able to play it on Ubuntu.
I only just now discovered PlayOnLinux and have installed it and tried to install COD4 but it won't let me. I obviously thought it would be as simple as clicking on 'install' and it would seamlessly work.......life is never that simple is it?
I have Wine installed v 0.9.46. Also, do I have to have POL running before I try to install the game, if so, how do I start it as I can't seem to find it anywhere, although it is installed?
Any other help that anyone can provide to get COD4 running will be so welcome.
Thanks

Call of duty is most popular now, installing it seem a little bit difficult for linux beginners , because you will need to install wine from the source and pach it, hope that will be included soon in PlayOnLinux
