Hi Folks,

I have found a nice way to Install the Guild Wars 2 Files from the DVDs.
You can save much download Time, if you have the Boxversion of Guild Wars 2

First things, first:

1. Open a terminal
2. Create a new Directory in your Home Folder

mkdir cdfiles

3. After that you must copy the Files
  • Gw2.js0 
  • Gw2.js1 
  • Gw2.js2 
  • Gw2.js3
from your DVD 1 and DVD 2 into this Folder.

4. After that goto your terminal and type in:

cd ~/cdfiles/
chmod u+rw *.*

5. now you type in:

cat Gw2.js0 Gw2.js1 Gw2.js2 Gw2.js3 > Gw2.dat

This command put all this files in the File Gw2.dat

6. Copy the File Gw2.dat into your Guild Wars 2 Directory and you will see that you  have only 80.000 Files to Download.

On the pure Online Installation you must Download more than 220.000 Files
