Renaming symbolic link to wineprefix

Installing playonlinux on my Ubuntu box creates a symbolic link in my home directory:

% ls -l Play*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 twilson twilson 39 Aug  8 12:30 PlayOnLinux's virtual drives -> /home/twilson/.PlayOnLinux//wineprefix/

Is it safe to rename this to something less obnoxious, like POL?  I couldn't find a configuration option to change this long name to something else.

Is it necessary even to have this link in my top-level directory at all?  I try to keep my top-level directory as uncluttered as possible, and it would be good to remove it altogether, if possible (especially given the existence of ~/.PlayOnLinux).

Thanks!

You can do whatever you want with this symlink, it's only there for convenience, and is not used by PoL itself...
