Hello. I am new here hope you guys can help me.

So I installed POL and followed this tutorial to install SW:Kotor:

http://www.gamersonlinux.com/forum/threads/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-guide.1127/

I just used version 1.7.46 instead of that in the tutorial. It worked fine I even managed to install SW:BF2 on the same virtual drive and through steam again. On steam I downloaded star wars jedi academy, it downloaded and ran but it just showed the start screen and nothing else. It resizes my res to 800x600 and just stays on the start screen ( I when It wasn't on full screen it said smth about jasp.exe stopped working - not sure thou) . How can I fix this and get the game running ?

First of all PlayOnLinux doesn't support manual installations.

Can you post your specs:

  • Linux Distro
  • Video Card/Chip
  • Video Driver
  • PlayOnLinux version

Are you able to play any other games?

The resizing is typical for the first launch and you should be able to select a resolution in the menu.  If SW Academy is the same engine as KOTOR then it should run fine.

We just need to make sure you have proprietary video drivers installed and 32-bit libraries.

Sorry I forgot to update my thread guys. I fixed the problem by downloading the binaries from the HOWTO in the winehq:

https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1713

I didn't notice because it took you a week to reply. Anyway I have another thread where I need assistance:
