Hi! Try to install IE7 ( or 8, the one that install with env WindowsXP in configure wine - > Application Tab ) usually it fixes it; if not, swith dnsapi from " native, then built in" in " builtin, then native" it's a "dns not resolved" problem

I installed IE8 with XP env as you said, then lol didn't open and i switched dnsapi from "native, then built in" to "builtin, then native" and i still have the same error.

Can you pls try this? Seems related with dns resolve, others have the same problem in the past, here' s one solution

Just run from root:
# echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps

and try again; this is the easiest way i' ve found; for me worked changing IE version to 6 and using WInXP

Did "echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps" from root, still having the problem :/

Ok, you've got to check in /etc/hosts ( via Nano or Gedit) if the host name is correct ( your host name is the one that appear when you open the Terminal - yakuyake or whaterver you use) in case, just modify it : instead of " localhost@gentoo ( i presume....) you've got to put " pelihno@gentoo" in the "127.0.0.1" line

OR

via wine configuration in POL :
1) Click on the Libraries tab.
2) In the Existing Overrides box, click on the entry for wininet
3) Click Remove ( or remove wininiet.dll from the libraries tab )

Hope it works!

That problem should be fixed since Wine 1.7.52 (#29609)

Have you tried with Wine 1.7.52 as suggested by Petch? I see no errors in what you posted

What I meant is, the LoL install script uses a patched Wine 1.7.52 to fix this issue already
