64bit Manual Install

Hi Guys,

I have POL on my 64bit Arch Linux install. I have a 32bit virtual drive with a 32bit install of World of Warcraft, which runs like a dream. Patch 7.3.5 which landed this week, officially has begun the process of depreciating WoW as 32bit, a warning comes up saying that your system is out of date, yada yada yada.

So, to preempt the end of 32bit, I decided to setup a 64bit virtual drive using the manual install. Before I installed WoW, I wanted to setup CMST and GLSL in Wine 2.21 staging. When I went into Configure Wine, instead of a full screen I had what can only be described as a thin line on my screen where Wine's Configuration should be. When I go into Registry Editor, instead of the normal Registry Keys, I have blank folders with nothing inside them.

Is this a POL issue? A Wine issue (bearing in mind 32bit Wine 2.21 staging works)? Should I run the WoW install script to creat the 64bit virtual drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ambleston

It could be a POL issue. The same thing happens to me on trying to create a 64bit virtual drive, any version of 64bit wine. Running Manjaro linux.
Crossover works fine, standard 32/64 wine works fine, 32bit POL wine works fine, 64bit POL wine, I get the thin line and improper setup of prefixes

Further reading leads to this post. https://www.playonlinux.com/en/topic-15692-Wine_30_with_POL.html

The libz issue is what was affecting me, the version of POL in Manjaro repositories still has it.
Going to install the git version from AUR :D
