I have a purchase STEAM version of Fallout 3. I noticed one of the install options for the game is "Adapt Steam version," however when I click on it it doesn't ask me for a cd or anything (is this because it knows I've already purchased the game?)

At the end of the install, it tells me that the CD has a lock on it and that POL won't be able to run it. When I run the game, I get the first load screen then it goes blank, the mouse also stays frozen in the middle of the screen.

What am I doing wrong?

If you've got DVD with Fallout 3 then please select that you want to install from DVD. What graphic card do you have?

I have this same problem.

The difference being that I installed with the CD. I have a xfx 5770 card. I have ATI catalyst installed. Also If i run Fallout3 launcher then I get an error message saying that Fallout.exe has had a serious error.
